1、 Disassembly and disassembly of water pump

First, drain the coolant, remove the radiator inlet and outlet hoses and bypass hoses, take out the heater hoses, and remove the V belt and pulley. Then unscrew the fixing bolts of the water pump and remove the water pump assembly.

1. Clean the dirt on the surface of the water pump and fix the water pump on the fixture or bench vise.

2. Loosen and remove the pulley fastening bolts and remove the pulley.

3. Use a special puller to remove the water pump shaft flange.

4. Loosen and remove the fastening bolts of the front pump housing, remove the front pump housing as a whole and remove the gasket.

5. Disassemble the pump impeller with puller, and operate carefully to prevent damage to the impeller.

6. Remove the lock ring and water seal assembly from the water pump impeller.

7. If the water pump shaft and bearing need to be replaced after detection, first heat the water pump to 75-85 ℃, and then use the water pump bearing disassembler and press to remove them.

8. Remove the oil seal and relevant gasket, and remove the floating seat from the housing.

9. Rotate and clamp, remove the fastening bolts of the water inlet pipe, and remove the water inlet pipe.

11. Replace all gaskets and sealing rings during installation.

12. Put the disassembled parts into the cleaning agent for cleaning.

2、 Assembly of water pump

The basic installation sequence of the water pump is reverse to the disassembly sequence. However, in addition to replacing gaskets and sealing rings, first check and measure the cleaned parts. If the wear is out of tolerance, new parts must be replaced. All parts can only be reassembled after passing the inspection.

1. The fit between water pump shaft and bearing is generally - 0.010mm~0.012mm, and it is allowed to be - 0.010mm~0.030mm during overhaul.

2. The matching between the water pump bearing and the bearing hole is generally - 0.02mm~0.02mm, and it is allowed to be - 0.02mm~0.044mm during overhaul.

3. The matching between the pump shaft and the impeller bearing hole is generally 0.04mm~0.02mm if there is no fixed bolt (nut), and generally - 0. Olmm~10. Olmm if there is a fixed nut.

4. The pump impeller shall be 0.1mm-0.5mm higher than the pump shaft after assembly.

5. After the water pump is assembled, the clearance between the outer edge of the impeller and the inner cavity of the pump casing is generally 1mm; There should be 0.075mm~l.OOmm clearance between the impeller and the pump cover.

6. All bolts and nuts shall be tightened according to the specified torque and locked reliably.

7. The drain hole under the water pump shall be unblocked.

8. After the water pump is assembled, the water pump bearing shall be filled with lubricating grease of specified brand.

During installation, pay special attention to the axial clearance between the pump impeller and the pump housing, and the clearance between the pump impeller and the radial seal of the housing. Pay attention to the lubrication conditions of the bearing.
